Is your PhD project related to Greenland? Now is your chance to share it with the public!

The Greenlandic research communication competition for PhD students ´Paasisavut´ is your unique chance to stand on Greenland´s most prominent stage and share your PhD project with the Greenlandic public in a grand show that will be broadcast live on national TV.

Arctic Hub covers the travel and accommodation, and provides a professional science communicator and an actor to offer you a personalised training programme, making you the best in the world at presenting your research. Read more about all this at www.paasisavut.gl.

However, for this to become a reality, you need to submit your application, and the deadline for this is 1 September 2024.

Before that, you have the opportunity to attend two events that will increase your chances of being selected as a finalist:

  • Arctic Hub´s online info meeting about ´Paasisavut´ on 6 August 2024. Here, you’ll learn how to apply and what to expect from the process if you are among the five finalists (please note that this will be the final info meeting). Register here: https://www.paasisavut.gl/en/infomeeting-august
  • Arctic Hub´s application workshop on 15 August 2024, is where you get help to record the video required for your application as well as feedback on your pitch. Register here: https://www.paasisavut.gl/en/applicationworkshop

The competition is open to PhD students and those who have completed their PhD programme within the last two years. Researchers worldwide can apply if their PhD project is directly related to Greenland.
