Join the AI in Life Science Summer School 2026

PhD students are invited to join the AI in Life Science Summer School 2026.

PhD students with an interest in data‑driven health research now have the opportunity to apply for the AI in Life Science Summer School 2026, an initiative organised by the University of Copenhagen in collaboration with AAU, AU, DTU and SDU. The programme, titled “AI and Data Science – Applications and Opportunities in Health Sciences,” is designed for PhD candidates and early‑stage researchers from Denmark and abroad.

Funded by the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science and part of the national Life Science Strategy towards 2030, the summer school offers a unique chance to explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping the future of health sciences. Building on Denmark’s exceptional health data infrastructure and strong culture of trust, participants will engage with leading experts to examine how AI and data science can drive innovation in healthcare and research.

The summer school will take place 10–21 August 2026 at the University of Copenhagen, including extended excursions to partner universities across Denmark. Tuition, accommodation, planned social activities and most meals (except dinner) are provided free of charge.

PhD students interested in participating are encouraged to apply before 1 May through here. Additional details can be found here.
