Homological Algebra of Proper Abelian Subcategories
PhD defence, Wednesday, 30 October 2024, Anders Sten Kortegård
Homological algebra is a tool that can help to study algebraic structures in mathematics. In his PhD studies, Anders S. Kortegård used homological methods to study the correspondence between certain self-injective algebras, showing that they have similar homological properties. Besides this, Anders studied proper abelian subcategories, which are abelian categories that are nicely embedded into triangulated categories. These proper abelian subcategories, generalize other well-known embeddings. Anders used proper abelian subcategories to generalize results that was previously known only for these other embeddings.
The PhD study was completed at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Aarhus University.
