Objectives of the course:
The course is a journal club where current topics within the field of non-coding RNA biology are discussed. The aim of the course is to present and discuss novel discoveries within non-coding RNA biology and through this obtain a general understanding of relevant theoretical approaches, experimental techniques, and bioinformatic tools.

Compulsory programme:
The student is expected to read the relevant papers, participate actively in discussions of the papers and to present on a regular basis.
Course contents:
One meeting per month to discuss a scientific paper. One student selects a paper in advance and presents it at the meeting. All students are expected to read the paper before the meeting and be prepared to engage in a discussion of the paper. The expected duration of the journal club is 2 hours per session (1 hour of preparation and 1 hour of attendance). The expected preparation time for the presenter is 8 hours.
