Info for new PhD students

New PhD students at Department of Computer Science will get a support group with two faculty members from other research groups - read more about the support group system. Also, all research groups have a research group coordinator, who you always can turn to for help - both practical and personal. 

 

Meetings for new PhD students

  • Introduction to CS. All new PhD students will be invited to a brief, informal welcome meeting within the first months. At the meeting, PhD committee chair Anders Møller will give you some practical information about being a PhD student at CS AU.
  • PhD introduction day at GSNS will give you a lot of practical information. You should receive an invitation via e-mail from GSNS.
  • We highly recommend all new employees, coming from abroad, to attend the first coming Getting Started in Denmark” meeting. Part of the meeting is to go to City of Aarhus' International Citizen Service (ICS). At ICS you can get help with practical information with regards to ordering CPR-number, taxes, EU-registration and more. The Getting started meetings take place on first and third Friday of the month from 9 am to 12 pm. Read more and sign up.

University International Club

Aarhus University has an International Club (UIC) that provides a social and cultural meeting place for international and Danish staff members alike, as well as their families.

At International Club you can participate in various activities, all free of charge, and meet other internationals from the university in an informal, social setting.

International Community
